Young Hot Shots:
Players who are permitted to play in events against players of
substantially lower skill levels.
Seasoned Veterans:
Players who are not permitted to play in events against players of
similar skill levels.
These groups of players were created when the ACBL
used an awards system to bracket, stratify, and flight events. The ACBL knew that these players existed, but
the ACBL did not know who they were. The ACBL coined the terms, Young Hot Shots
and Seasoned Veterans to refer to them.
Power Ratings will not list Seasoned Veterans. Young Hot Shots are Most Underrated Players
with an under rate (UR) greater than 6.
If the ACBL uses a rating system to bracket, stratify,
and flight events, then no one will be a Young Hot Shot or Seasoned Veteran.
